Merriewold Galaxie  (Iron Forge Starman x Ringbrook Renaissance) four year old chestnut mare, went to her second show in August.  It was open, USEF and USDF rated.  She competed in two classes, Training level 2 and 4.  Here are some comments from trainer Sally Anderson:

“Gal was so well behaved at the show!  Ashley, my 6 year old daughter, brushed her and led her around all day.  Her first test was training level test 2.  She was first place out of 9 with a score of 68%.  The next best was a 56%.  At this show she definitely had the hang of being a show horse as she didn’t shy at anything and was an angel.”

Merriewold Galaxie is available for purchase.  Take a look at our sales page.  click here

Caduceus Marika (Patchett Hill x Caduceus Exira) is having her fifth foal for Merriewold in 2009.  This foal is by the Multi-World Champion, Gulfwind Sir William(Trebles Willy Wild x Gulfwind Dawn Command).  Marika’s surrogate is a nearly 17 hand thoroughbred mare named Tuscany.

Marika’s first foal for us was Merriewold Java by Dragonfire Kirin(Cedar City Penbrook x Dragonfire Chi Lin).  Java is now a yearling.  He has a gorgeous ‘Morgan’ head, is nicely put together and is extremely sweet.

This year Marika had three foals all by RG Stuart’s Monarch (Fun Quest Monarch x Tretton Lady Midnight D).  Merriewold Kona, Merriewold Kirin and Merriewold Kasey.  These three foals are big and typy with good bone and strong sport horse pedigrees from the Funquest, Brunk and Caduceus breeding programs.

        ABL Morning Star

ABL Morning Star (MCM Eminent x Big Bend Dixiedancer)  returns to us after several months in Northern CA.  We did not get her in foal this year, so next year we will send her to Polly Rich Farms.  There they will work with renowned Alamo Pintado Vet clinic to give us the best chance for a foal.
ABL Morning Star is one of our best mares not only because of her size and superior athletic conformation, but also for her wonderful disposition and very solid pedigree that includes the renowned individuals: Warhawk, Kingston and UVM Watchman.
