There is no perfect horse, but Canequin Reach for the
Stars, comes pretty close. Jackie and I had been looking for a new
broodmare for several years when we heard about “Pocket”. She had a
very successful show career with her owner Liz Gesler. Together they
won championships in Dressage, Eventing and “In Hand”, in Rated Open and
Breed shows.
Pocket is refined and feminine. She is also a well put
together sport horse; she has a smooth top line with uphill build,
power house rear quarter, good balance of front to rear and substantial
bone. All of which contribute to her long, strong, ground covering
walk, trot and canter. She has a forward and confident attitude. But
she is also very trainable and able to achieve the ‘relaxation’
necessary to earn scores in the mid 70ties in Dressage.
Last
but not least Pocket is the product of two
prestigious and proven Morgan Sport Horse breeding programs, Canequin
Morgans and Raynyday Morgans. How could she be anything but Fabulous!
Pocket is starting a new career with us at Merriewold. She is our
new broodmare and we have high hopes for her offspring. She is in
foal to Dragonfire Kirin for 2014. Thank you Liz for sharing her
